Active Older Adults at the YMCA experience a strong sense of belonging and a network of friends who provide supportive communities for sustained health and well-being.
Through on-going, fun, safe and engaging classes, activities and field trips members experience better health and an improved quality of life. Check with your local YMCA for a schedule of events. Some fees may apply.
We are pleased to participate in the following third party reimbursement programs:
• Healthways- Includes programs like Silver Sneakers Fitness Program and Forever and Fit. The Silver Sneakers program offers a free full facility membership to select YMCA locations with access to all programs, services and group classes tailored specifically for you. Check with your insurance provider to determine if you are eligible.
• American Specialty Health Networks, Inc. (ASH Networks)- Includes programs like Active & Fit and Silver & Fit. Silver and Fit includes membership, website resources and support from Silver & Fit’s toll-free members services hotline. Check with your insurance provider to determine if you are eligible and if copays apply.
EXERCISE CLASSES
Whether you’re just getting started, looking to intensify your workout, or interested in connecting with others, The YMCA offers group exercise classes with everyone in mind. Reference your local YMCA’s schedule to determine which classes are right for you.
Class levels are indicated by a One (1)- beginner and/or senior; Two (2)-intermediate; and Three (3)- advanced. Choose from strength, mind/body, cardio/dance and aqua-based. Some options to try include:
