
PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police has arrested a 14-year-old male and a 17-year-old male in connection with the two armed Shadyside robberies on July 28. Their charges include robbery, receiving stolen property, and criminal conspiracy.
According to the investigation, at approximately 10:25 p.m. on July 28, Zone 4 Officers responded to the 700 block of College Avenue. A female victim reported that she was approached by three Black male actors at the intersection of Walnut Street and College Avenue. One actor displayed a firearm and ordered the victim to the ground. The actors took her bag containing a cell phone, keys and credit card, then fled on Elwood Street toward S. Aiken Avenue.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. Officers responded to the 700 block of Maryland Avenue. According to the investigation, the male and female victims were walking along Maryland Avenue when they were approached by three Black male actors. One actor displayed a firearm and demanded the victims’ keys, cell phones and wallets. The actors fled the scene on Elwood Street toward College Avenue. The victims went to a nearby residence and called 9-1-1.
