PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pittsburgh Homicide Squad has arrested Raymon Harris, 22, in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in East Hills yesterday. Additionally, a warrant has been issued for Deshawn Hall, 23.
According to the investigation, Hall shot the 22 year old male victim from Sharpsville, PA, multiple times during a failed robbery attempt in the 600 block of Fahnestock Street. Then fled the scene.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Officers arrived and found the victim in the street outside of a residence and began performing CPR until Paramedics arrived. However, the victim was pronounced deceased at UPMC Presbyterian.
While at the scene, Officers received information that the males involved in the incident had run back inside of the residence. Officers then surrounded the house and began calling the occupants out. Four males exited the house. Officers were informed that there were possible weapons inside and had no way of being certain if there were more people inside. Out of that concern for the safety of both the community and the Officers, SWAT was called the scene.
The four males who exited were interviewed by Detectives – one was a victim, two were released, and one was Harris. SWAT cleared the house and found no other individuals inside. A search of the residence recovered two firearms and drug evidence including heroin, marijuana, and paraphernalia.
The investigation remains open.
