PITTSBURGH (AP) _ Two men will stand trial in the robbery-slaying of a man who allegedly sold synthetic marijuana out of his Pittsburgh barbershop.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1ViXUH4 ) reports 19-year-old Keith Payne and 22-year-old Javahn Griffin waived their rights to preliminary hearings Friday in the July 25 shooting of 44-year-old Lamar Thomas.
A witness with both men told police he went into Thomas’ shop to negotiate a price on K2, a type of synthetic marijuana, when the suspects entered the shop and robbed Thomas. At one point, the witness tells police that Griffin told Payne to shoot Thomas if he moved _ shortly before a shot was fired.
The men are charged with criminal homicide, robbery and conspiracy. Payne is also charged with weapons violations.
