PONTIAC, Mich. — A suburban Detroit man is in jail awaiting trial for attempted murder after he was caught sleeping naked in bed with his drunk and equally-naked daughter by the son-in-law and tried to silence him by stabbing him.

The daughter, meanwhile, believes she was sexually assaulted and has no recollection of what transpired in bed.

The daughter, according to CBS Detroit, was out drinking with her father, who had just been released from prison. Apparently, she blacked out some time during the evening because she doesn’t recall getting undressed and having her father in bed with her either.

According to Pontiac police, the son-in-law, 25, came home at approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday and found his father-in-law, Henry Allen Michael, sleeping in the nude in the same bed as Michael’s 24-year-old daughter who was also naked.

The son-in-law immediately challenged Michael about what he had seen and what the father had done with his daughter. The verbal altercation quickly degenerated into violence when Michael stabbed his daughter’s husband in the back with a knife, the station reports.

According to police, the son-in-law was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening stab wound in the back that missed his lung.

After the assault, Michael then fled the house in the victim’s car and was later apprehended by authorities. He was transported to Oakland County Jail and charged with attempted murder, according to online jail records.

The woman said she passed out after drinking with her dad and woke up naked in the bed when her husband and father got into the fight. She was examined to determine if she was sexually assaulted.

That Michael would so brazenly compromise his recently-acquired freedom by allegedly committing a sexually depraved act stuns even the most hardened observers. He had just finishing serving more than 20 years in prison for convictions for robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon, police told the media.
