*Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol jumped into the national conversation on Ahmed Mohamed, comparing President Obama’s support of the teen to the Black Lives Matter movement – believing both are causing “more racial strife” and “victimhood.”

As previously reported, President Obama tweeted his support of the 14-year-old student who made national headlines after he was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school that officials mistook for a bomb:

Bristol Palin saw nothing positive about the tweet.

“This is the kind of stuff Obama needs to stay out of,” she wrote on her Patheos blog. “This encourages more racial strife that is already going on with the ‘Black Lives Matter’ crowd and encourages victimhood.”

Some conservatives believe that support for Mohamed from Obama and others would perpetuate the idea that police routinely engage in racial profiling. The mayor of Mohamed’s town actually defended the way Mohamed was treated. Similarly, Palin believes that this incident was just an innocent misstep by law enforcement.

“Why put more people against them? Why egg it on,” she wrote. “Childish games like this from our president have divided our country, even more today than when he was elected.”
