*Eccentric rapper Kanye West has always marched to the beat of his own imagination.
These days, his taste in fashion seems to be veering into a post-apocalyptic direction (think “Twelve Years a Slave” and “The Matrix” rolled up in one).
West’s new clothing line, which is bound to be expensive, has garnered mixed reviews from critics. He recently showcased his collection during New York Fashion Week, and at the very least, people are talking.
Rap legend Ice-T isn’t very impressed by Kanye West’s off-the-wall designs.
“Kanye’s fashion show stuff looks like future slave gear to me… Just sayin,” he tweeted, along with photos of models wearing the latest Kanye designs.
During his last-minute show on Wednesday, West debuted his Yeezy Season 2 collection with an “army” of models wearing beige leggings, oversized tops and military-style jackets.
Ice-T wasn’t the only one less than impressed by Kanye’s vision. Cathy Horyn, a renowned fashion critic, said of the designs:
“This second round of drab, broken-down basics proved he can’t be taken seriously as a designer. But nevertheless many people in fashion do seem to take West seriously … and that makes them fools.”
It looks like West has pissed off another white woman (imagine that).
