FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A DeKalb County police officer succumbed his massive injuries after he was involved in a fiery crash Saturday morning, the media has reported.
A driver was driving on the wrong side of the road when that vehicle slammed into Officer Kevin Toatley police cruiser at South Fulton Parkway and Buffington Road, causing it to burst into flames.
Toatley, a seven-year veteran of the department, was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The other vehicle was carrying two adults and three children. According to Fox 5, emergency responders transported one adult to the hospital in critical condition. The three children are in serious condition.
