T.I. fires back at Oprah after apologizing again for sexist statements

Hip hop boss T.I. has been ducking all week after taking a lot of incoming fire for making insensitive and asinine statements about how he couldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton for president because she’s a woman — and women don’t make good policy decisions because of their emotions.
“I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen,” said the Grand Hustle creator. “And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. [Other leaders] will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy.”
The amount of blow-back he received would have peeled his wig if it weren’t for the fact that he sports little to no hair. But “The Family Hustle” star was leaning a little left after Oprah took a swing at the Trouble Man. When she learned what he said, she stopped what she was doing, stared at the questioner for a pause, then said
“Well, you know what I say to that. I wanna say honey chile hush your mouth! You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Tip was not about to let the situation go — even though he probably should have — but he wanted to explain himself. And he had a word for Oprah.

“I know you know how I joke and I know you know my heart, so I know you know me, but I apologize anyway,” he said. “I said some things that were insensitive and hurtful to women, so I apologize.”
He added, “I never intended to be taken as though I felt women couldn’t be leaders. That was not my intention. I know better than that. I know that my daughters as well as your daughters can lead this nation as well as any other nation as long as they apply themselves and educate themselves, and motivate themselves to do so.”
Tip then took aim at Winfrey and scolded her for thinking so little of him. “Oprah, you’ve been in my house before. You know me better than that,” he said.
