From diva of the kitchen to notable female body builder, Elise Wims, better known as the “Diva Chef,” continues to turn heads with her exquisite tasty dishes and incredibly fit body.
“A day in the life of the Diva Chef would be training early in the morning, and eating 6-7 meals per day, around every three hours. I have no trainer, I train myself; while also training five days a week with two days off,” Wims said.

One thing for sure about women is that they are fierce and fearless when it comes to the kitchen. Wims is no different; she conquers the kitchen by creating masterpieces, all while in make-up and heels.
Wims began cooking at the age of 9 years old. To date, she has been presented with a proclamation from the city, along with several other awards and accolades.

“The thing that immediately drew me to cooking was the freedom of art and creativity. Growing up in a foodie family, and after completing culinary school, I became most known for my Creole-Italian fusion. My favorite dishes to cook are Chilean shrimp scampi and/or grilled rib eye with andouille sausages, demi glace and pommel frites. However, recently my fit foods have been high in demand,” she said.
Wims said she never expected to be a professional body builder and fitness guru, and that she kind of fell into it.
The quickest, easiest, and healthiest meal she would recommend is chicken, broccoli and rice. This recommendation is to those who are looking to make healthier meal choices at home.
“It doesn’t get much easier than that,” Wims said.
“Living a healthy lifestyle is important to me, and everything I do, I pursue with passion. Most Chefs are overweight, but not me,” she said.
The Diva Chef was second runner-up on season 9 of Fox-TV’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” among many other chef competitors.
Now, she is currently partnering with Bravo Television.
“I’m currently the operations manager for a start-up company that’s a TV show on Bravo called, ‘Après Ski.’ The show comes on Monday nights at 10 p.m.,“ she said.
During her career as a professional body builder, Wims has taken first place for True Novice Figure, first place for Novice Figure, and overall Novice Figure. With three wins within her first show at the Natural Pennsylvania Competition, Wims said she was elated and feels she couldn’t have done any better.
She is currently preparing for her next body building competition, happening next year.
The well-polished chef and fitness enthusiast has managed to master the craft of combining food, fitness, fashion and fun. The single mother has accomplished roles as an executive chef, restaurant manager, catering president and start-up owner.
Wims plans to continue to break down barriers.
“The best way to a healthy lifestyle is taking it day by day,” Wims said.
