UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball 2015, feat. Chris Tucker, Johnny Gill, Grant Hill, Hank Aaron

ATLANTA — Dignitaries and celebrities along with legislators and educators came out for the 32nd United Negro College Fund Mayor’s Masked Ball 2015 at the Marriott Marquis in downtown ATL. Billed as the largest single-night fundraising for the education-based organization, the UNCF is designed to raise money for students to attend historically black colleges and universities.

Dr. Michael Lomax, President and CEO of the UNCF, was on hand along with Johnny Gill, the headline performer. Baseball Hall of Famer Hank Aaron’s wife, Billye Aaron, Co-founder of the UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball is raising $1 million on her own for UNCF scholarships.
A host of celebrities were on hand, including Ambassador Andrew Young, actor Chris Tucker and Johnny Gill, who performed some of most recent and greatest hits. Also on hand were former NBA All-Star Grant Hill and wife, R&B star Tamia, actress Demetria McKinney, producer Roger Bobb, Olympic track & field legend Edwin Moses, comedian George Wallace, Hall of Famer Hank Aaron and his wife Billye, “Married to Medicine’s” Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Toya Bush Harris and many others.

The Atlanta Mayor’s Masked Ball took in $1 million in 2014 and hope to procure at least that much with this year’s celebration. Billye Aaron, a co-founder of the Mayor’s Masked Ball along with Ambassador Young, is working to raise that amount on her own.
