Warning to Atlantans: Temperatures to dip below freezing this week

Remember that beautiful tropical-like weather you enjoyed following the record-breaking torrential downpour last month?
Say goodbye to it. And say hello to winter.
According to WSBTV, temperatures will start in the lower 30s across the greater Atlanta area will dip into the mid to upper 20s in the North Georgia mountains.

Wind chills will remain in the 30s all day Monday, the station reports, as a frigid north wind gusts to 25 mph.
Eleven mornings in November and December started in the 20s and 30s at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. The coldest occurred on December 19th when ATL dipped to 29°.
Tuesday morning will surpass that with widespread low to mid 20s in the Metro and upper teens in the North Georgia mountains.
The widespread 20s will continue into Wednesday morning, as well. We remind you to take care of your pets and pipes when temperatures dip below freezing.
