SENIOR MANAGER OF MARKETING & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The senior manager of marketing and community engagement is responsible for the development of insightful and effective marketing strategies, initiatives and actions, in support of established strategic priorities that are intended to increase local, national and international awareness of the Frick Art & Historical Center, along with building audience diversity, attendance and revenue. The senior manager of marketing and community engagement is also charged with the development of the architecture, and then the execution of, a comprehensive community outreach program intended to broaden the profile, reach and exposure of what the Frick offers for a variety of audiences and institutions.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00-5:00, some evening and weekend work required
Reports to: Director of External Affairs
Status: Full-time, exempt with benefits
Responsibilities:
• Develop short, mid and long range marketing and community engagement strategies that enable the Frick to move beyond its current reach and demographics, and to provide for all audiences the opportunity to develop a deeper and more personalized connection to the ‘Frick experience’
• Work with the Director, Director of External Affairs and the Manager of Media and Communications as part of a marketing and PR task force team, to identify and then implement institution?wide strategic goals
• Build on existing initiatives and work in collaboration with all departments on site to enhance and develop an outreach network that comprises representatives from a variety of audience groups including: visitors, members, donors, and other stakeholders
• Identify and cultivate relationships with new community partners and stakeholders within the region that will provide opportunities for audience growth and potentially uncover new revenue streams
• Review and evaluate the effectiveness of the current marketing practices – print, digital, radio, web – and develop a comprehensive, clear and concise marketing structure and then initiatives from which to work
• Develop metrics to measure the success of all marketing and community engagement strategies
• Ensure the appropriate marketing support staff are in place to sustain effective engagement of marketing tactics; manage all support staff and their projects
• Plan, develop and manage the annual marketing and advertising budgets and forecasts
• Handle other duties as requested by management
Qualifications:
 Bachelors degree in Communications or Marketing, preferred
• Over 10 years of marketing and advertising management experience required, preferably including experience with an arts-based non-profit organization
• Possess demonstrated stellar written and oral communication abilities
• Creative thinker, with the ability to be flexible and modify strategies as requested
• Ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion
• Experience working with strategic communications planning
• Excellent time/people management skills
• Comfortable working as part of a team, but also independently
• Detail-oriented with excellent editing skills
• Clearance of a criminal background check
