BILL NEAL

:10—Let me begin by saying something I should have said years ago. Today’s column is dedicated to “Doris.” You don’t know her, but trust me when I tell you, without her, you would not have access to my genius every week. (Or lack thereof!) Thanks Doris. Couldn’t do it without ya…I’m just sayin’!
:09—So at last, I’m at the office site, #3 Eat’n Park in Penn Hills, minding my own business and enjoying the coffee as I get some paper work done, and in comes young “Brother Cole.” Actually, approaching 50, but none the less young to me, and a former “Champions” baller from back in the day to boot. Which really made me wonder how I failed him. I just would have thought I taught him better. Well here’s the story. As the conversation evolved, and he kept putting away the hotcakes, we began to assemble each of our greatest hoop teams of all time! Brother Cole’s Team—Magic Johnson at point; Michael Jordan at two guard; Charles Barkley at small forward; Willis Reed at power forward, intentionally out of the center position and Shaquille O’Neal at center. For the record, that amounts to 11 NBA championship rings.
