Portfolio Analytics & Strategy Analyst Senior (Multiple Openings)
The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. has multiple openings for Portfolio Analytics & Strategy Analyst Senior in Pittsburgh, PA. Responsible for participating in the Decision Analytics team supporting strategy initiatives and execution. Specific duties include: (i) identify opportunities to improve strategies and processes through sound data- based analyses; (ii) design and implement initiatives utilizing segmentation strategies based on customer behavior and transactional profile analysis; (iii) provide analytics for transactional fraud authorization decisioning and optimization to mitigate fraud losses; (iv) conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis and deliver presentations with sound recommendations and insights to business partners and management team; and (v) establish and maintain effective fraud mitigation strategy development and performance tracking to ensure that strategies are performing as expected.
Master’s degree in Economics/Applied Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or Finance plus 1 year of experience conducting data analysis for the financial services industry is required. Experience must include: (i) handling, manipulation and analysis of datasets; (ii) credit risk or fraud risk analysis; (iii) statistical data analysis and statistical decision tree; (iv) utilizing data query tools including SQL and SAS to manipulate, analyze and interpret credit bureau and other financial databases; (v) writing and implementing SAS programs and macros for reporting, automation and data analysis for portfolio performance monitoring; and (vi) advanced database management (writing complex SQL queries), advanced tools and software including SQL, SAS Enterprise Miner, advanced Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
