P.R.O.M.I.S.E. Group on the North Side presents the eighth annual Jakim Donaldson Basketball Camp, July 26-28 at Perry High School. The free camp is open to youth ages 8-18. Mary Adams with P.R.O.M.I.S.E. tells the New Pittsburgh Courier the camp teaches not only basketball skills, but “learning how to work with each other, hearing from motivational speakers about conflict resolution, team cooperation, sportsmanship, and commitment.”
Adams said parents or guardians can bring their children to Perry High School at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 26 and register in-person before the camp begins. Pittsburgh Public Schools is providing a free lunch to the camp participants each day.
