IT’S BACK! – AND IT WAS A SUCCESS!
The New Pittsburgh Courier’s 2017 Men of Excellence Awards ceremony, held Wednesday, December 13, 6 to 9 p.m., at the Fairmont Pittsburgh Hotel, Downtown, was an instant classic!
Forty-five local African American men were honored for their achievements and contributions to our community, and of course, Louis “Hop” Kendrick was the ceremony’s Legacy Honoree, totaling 46 African American men shining in the spotlight!
The event was not just sold out…. It was oversold! People were coming from everywhere looking for a last-minute ticket to the grand occasion, and the Courier thanks the staff at the Fairmont Hotel, along with our own staffers for their contributions and accommodations.

The “Men of Excellence” insert will be available inside the Courier’s Dec. 13 edition, on newsstands until Dec. 19.
