Where Eagles dare to fly, and the halftime show was weak! (Feb. 7)

:10—Please…Do me a favor and for that matter do yourself a favor and stop lying. You did not   have the “Philly Dogs” winning the Super Bowl. Yea, you may have wanted them to win, but you, me and 75 percent of the country had “Tom Terrific” and “Super Bill” Belichick taking home Lombardi.  Admit it and life will be better for you, I promise.
:09—However, I must confess it did give me a bit of trifecta.  #1, the Pats didn’t tie the Steelers for most Super Bowls. #2, James Harrison got to go to the dance and dance he did. #3, “Ding dong     the witch is dead. The wicked witch is dead!”
:08—OK, so let’s have that conversation, and I hope my on-air colleague Kevin Cameron is reading this. Somebody, anybody, please tell me how James Harrison played the entire Super Bowl. And well, we know this because Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth talked about him all night. Look, there’s three things that are hard for a man to do. #1, watch a pretty woman turn and walk away.  #2, lose all your money at the tables. And #3, admit that I am right. Kevy–Kev, can you hear me? The Steelers made a mistake and they did him wrong.
:07—Let’s give credit where credit is due. The Philadelphia Eagles truly didn’t live in their fears and played the game to win, not to not lose. Coach Peterson and quarterback Foles stepped into the spotlight and never got blinded by the light.
:06—I’m truly glad that Brady and Belichick didn’t get their sixth Super Bowl win to tie the Steelers for the most in NFL history, but I am a little confused as to why it took them an entire half to find Gronkowski. The difference was clear when they did.
:05—Justin Timberlake as the halftime show? Well, let’s put it this way, he may have thrown a tribute for “Prince,” but trust me, he’s no Prince. Tribute or not, halftime was weak. Man, where’s Bruno Mars when you need him?
:04—Anybody paying a million dollars to show those commercials last night need to be slapped a million times with a two dollar bill. Other than the innocent babies and the now openly open Manning and Beckham commercial, there were no big winners. (Listen Madison Avenue, take it from me. Stick with dogs, Budweiser and Clydesdales if you want a winner.)
:03—As well as he played at the Bowl, will Nick Foles be the Eagles starting QB next year?  No.  If his leg is good, Carson Wentz will get his job back and you can take that to the bank.
:02—The Western PA Pittsburgh Basketball Club Hall of Fame Inductions was a slam dunk. Check out the Courier’s paper edition from Feb. 7, or search for it here at newpittsburghcourier.com.
