Senior Research Scientist

Program Manager, School Initiatives

The Program Manager of School Initiatives manages all work related to school partnerships, including United Way’s Be There Campaign, Coaching Boys into Men, and any pilots or project directly relating to schools, including the Healthy Matters Texting and Dating Matters programs. As a part of these responsibilities and under the direction and guidance of the Director of School Initiatives and Partnerships, the program manager will be responsible for: the coordination of the Be There mini-grant program; the recruitment of coaches and school partners to the CBIM, Healthy Texting and Dating Matters work; and assistance in planning major events such as the Champions of Learning event. Overall, the Program Manager is responsible for implementing multiple programs and pilots with county partners to fulfill the goals of each program.
Ideal candidate for this position is a motivated project manager and relationship builder, highly detail oriented, able to speak publicly with ease, understands how to track, maintain, and effectively use data.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in public administration, social work, related field, or equivalent. 3 years’ experience in project management and/or managing others. Past work with schools or students is a plus.
