POLICE OFFICERS
CITY OF ALIQUIPPA
Qualified persons are invited to apply to the City of Aliquippa Civil Service Commission to take competitive examinations leading to eligibility for appointment as a Police Officer in the City of Aliquippa Police Department. An application form may be obtained beginning May 6, 2019 at the City Building, 581 Franklin Avenue, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Completed applications must be returned by 4:00 PM, May 17, 2019, with a $35.00 non-refundable application fee payable to the City of Aliquippa.
REQUIREMENTS: At the time of application applicants are required to be Act 120 Certified or have successfully completed Act 120 Training with the State Exam successfully completed by date of conditional hire, have a high school diploma or GED, be a minimum of 18 years of age, hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, be a U.S. Citizen and be physically and mentally fit to perform duties of a police officer. Successful applicants must meet all other Civil Service requirements.

Program Manager,
Programs for Seniors and People with Disabilities
United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania
Pittsburgh Office
United Way of Southwestern PA is looking for a dynamic individual to assist with managing the United for Seniors and People with Disabilities investment and initiative portfolios. Programs for Seniors and People with Disabilities include: 21 and Able, United for Caregivers, and Open Your Heart to a Senior. The successful candidate will also work with agency partners that United Way manages in Allegheny County. Our goals are to help people with disabilities live with greater independence and help seniors live healthy and safe at home with dignity.
The Program Manager, Programs for Seniors and People with Disabilities, will assist the Director in helping United Way meet its goals by providing project management, communication, improved outcomes measurement/quality, and collaboration.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in public administration, non-profit management or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
This position is initially funded for 40 hours per week for a one-year duration with the goal of becoming a permanent position.
