•I would be lying…you would be lying…the whole courtroom would be lying (sorry, a little Al Pacino there “And Justice For All”—you don’t know). Anyway, anybody that tells you they had the Toronto Raptors beating the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Championship would be lying. !
• Speaking of being a reader…and not you because you’re reading…but for those who don’t…you need to put them on point. Every African American within reach should be reading and subscribing to the New Pittsburgh Courier. C’mon Man!
•Just in case you thought it was over, it ain’t over. Your Pittsburgh Steelers will report to Saint Vincent College on Friday, July 26 for their 54th consecutive training camp. And, this year’s cry is “Redemption!” The cancer has been removed, egos are back in check and the ultimate objective has been reestablished. The team is going to the Super Bowl; not individuals, the team! Camp runs until Aug. 15. Practice is free to all visitors each day from noon to 6 p.m. Special note—you can get your photo with a Steeler legend daily from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
•Hey, just a word to the wise. Summertime is here. That means you have to be ever more aware, eyes wide open, no texting and driving—kids all around you!
•You know you want this movie review, so shut up and take it like a grown-up. And, this one’s not for everybody, but if you loved “Bennie and the Jets” then you’ll love “Rocketman,” the movie. I give it three basketballs.
•As always, it is your duty and in your best interest to vote Donald Trump out of office!!!
