The New Pittsburgh Courier has learned that Savoy Magazine, the leading African American lifestyle and business publication, announced on July 17 its selection of Andrea Clark Smith, associate chief legal officer and vice president of Physician and Human Resources Services for UPMC, to the 2019 list of the Most Influential Women in Corporate America.

Smith was chosen from a pool of more than 500 prospective candidates in diverse fields by a selection committee of Savoy editors, community leaders, and academic and business executives.

“I am honored that Savoy Magazine chose to include me among this list of impressive and dynamic corporate leaders,” said Smith.

Smith joined UPMC in 2013 and manages a team of immigration, employment, labor and health law specialists. She leads significant diversity and inclusion efforts as legal department sponsor for UPMC’s employee experience team and for UPMC’s minority counsel program.

Additionally, Smith serves on Boards of the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, Sarah Heinz House (a Boys and Girls Clubs of America affiliate), and the Association of Corporate Counsel for Western Pennsylvania.
