THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF OLABRICE HELTON WILKERSON

August 4, 2019; What a day it was in North Versailles, as Olabrice Helton Wilkerson was surrounded by family and friends for her 102nd birthday celebration!

Ms. Wilkerson, as told to the New Pittsburgh Courier by her granddaughter, Ola Jackson, was one of the first Black nurses in a West Penn Nursing Hospital graduating class, as the certificate shows below, dated July 23, 1957. She was married to the late Rayford Wilkerson, a mill worker. She has 39 grandchildren, 100 great grandchildren, 126 great great grandchildren, and 21 great great great grandchildren.
