The Ninth Annual Circle of Courage Awards, held Aug. 23 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Monroeville, honored those primarily in the faith community who continue to make a positive difference in the Greater Pittsburgh area. The program also included a networking session, art auction, and music by Dr. James Johnson, co-founder of the Afro American Music Institute. Proceeds benefited BCC Ministries of Brown Chapel Church, where Rev. Aisha Tate is pastor. The Circle of Courage Awards was presented by Bynums Marketing & Communications, with support from the Port Authority of Allegheny County, the law office of Frank, Gale, Bails, Murcko & Pocrass, P.C., Highmark Health and Allegheny Health Network.
