On Sept. 24, at the Omni William Penn Hotel, Downtown, Adagio Health held its Second Annual Transforming Women’s Health Symposium. Adagio Health President and CEO BJ Leber said she felt immense gratitude for the knowledge, expertise and unyielding commitment to better health outcomes for women that each one of the speakers brought to the event. The speakers included the new president of the American Medical Association, Dr. Patricia Harris, “healthcare glass ceiling crasher” Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee (who happens to be sister to Diana Ross), and the incomparable former senior advisor to President Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett. The entire day was dedicated to a conversation about women’s health today and going forward. Breakout sessions included #MeToo—Beyond The Hashtag, The Maternal Health Crisis, and The Status of Sex Education Locally and Nationally. During lunch the Transformation Award was presented to the organization Allies for Heath + Wellbeing.

Adagio Heath operates under the mission to provide health and wellness services to all women and their families with a focus on those in need. Rachel Levine, MD, and Loren Robinson, MD, served as honorary chairs.
