The Satin and Soul Urban Ballroom Dancers held their Tenth Annual Holiday Party on Dec. 21, at the Edgewood Country Club. You may ask, “What is Urban Ballroom?” According to some sites, “urban ballroom dancing is a smooth and graceful dance that combines Greystone, Hand Dance and Cha-Cha-Cha all in one dance.” It is danced to R&B, jazz and neo-soul music. It is a partner dance where the leader and partner face and embrace one another.

Robert Robinson of Satin and Soul said members and supporters of the Satin and Soul Urban Ballroom Dancers get together once a quarter for a “$10 Holla” and they also host bowling and Luau’s throughout the year as well as a Monday stepping class at Wilson’s Nite Out.
