Trump re-election bid extends focus to young Black voters, offers cash

(Washington Informer Web Staff)—As President Donald Trump continues to rev up support for reelection, his campaign has extended its outreach to include young Black voters through events that offer cash giveaways.

The nonprofit Urban Revitalization Coalition’s first event in December was held in a predominantly Black community in Cleveland, where prizes included envelopes stuffed with hundreds of dollars.

A second giveaway that was scheduled for this month at Virginia Union University in Richmond was foiled by university officials who refused to host the $30,000 giveaway.

Nevertheless, more such events are said to be in the works.
