ANESTHESIOLOGIST
University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks an Anesthesiologist to work in Pittsburgh (Allegheny County), PA and unanticipated locations. Direct and plan the administration of anesthesia for assigned patients with a focus in adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology; review pre-procedure testing and conduct preoperative evaluation of the patient and develop plan of care; responsible for documentation of all aspects of anesthesia care directly administered; responsible for consultations and communication between Surgeons, patients, family members, and other Anesthesia staff; evaluation and management of anesthetic and analgesic nerve blocks in patients undergoing surgery or trauma; implementation of multi-modal pain management technics in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Must have an M.D. or equivalent; completion of residency in Anesthesiology; completion of fellowship in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology; Board certification or Board eligibility in Anesthesiology; and license to practice medicine or eligibility for licensure in PA.
