Allegheny County reports 179 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths

The Allegheny County Health Department [ACHD] reported 179 new COVID-19 infections and no new COVID-related fatalities for Monday and Sunday combined. The newly reported cases bring the total count since March 14 to 13,362 cases of COVID-19.

The cases of COVID-19, reported in the last 48 hours from 2,320 tests, are among patients ranging in age from 5 months to 89 years old with the median age of 34. The dates of positive tests ranged from Oct. 4 to 11.

To date, the county has had 397 deaths and 1,286 people hospitalized because of the virus.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health [DOH] reported 1,088 new cases and 18 fatalities Monday, in addition to 1,166 new cases and 6 fatalities reported Sunday, bringing the statewide tallies to 173,304 cases and 8,368 COVID-related deaths.
