Highmark Inc. adds Kevin Jenkins to Board of Directors

The New Pittsburgh Courier has learned that Highmark Inc. recently announced the election of Kevin L. Jenkins, L.S.W. to its Board of Directors for a three-year term.

Jenkins currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer for Manchester Bidwell Corporation (MBC), a Pittsburgh-based organization committed to working with individuals to transform lives as well as build, strengthen, and enhance communities. By leading MBC, Jenkins oversees a broad mission that includes adult workforce training, youth arts education and college/career readiness, jazz performance and preservation, and more.

Prior to his current position, Jenkins served as senior program officer for Health and Human Services and Community Initiative Director for The Pittsburgh Foundation, and later advanced to become Vice President for Public Policy and Civic Leadership. He also worked at the Holy Family Institute as an executive director prior to joining The Pittsburgh Foundation.

Jenkins earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh and an undergraduate degree from Penn State University. He serves on several regional boards and committees and was appointed by the Joint State Government Commission to serve as a member of the Advisory Committee on Homelessness in Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the Remake Learning Council.
