Although Prestige Professional Cleaning has been in business for just over two years, owner Angelica Grant said she has had a passion for entrepreneurship for quite some time.
“I had the idea to start my own business about 20 years ago. I just wanted to do my own thing, run my own thing, and be apart of a community that brings jobs back. I wanted to be a leader,” said Grant.
“Back when I was thinking about getting a cleaning company, it was going the franchise way. I knew how to clean but did not have the confidence to pursue it.”
She gained that confidence from her former boss who over time routinely asked her when she would launch her own company. Over time, belief in herself grew until Grant finally opened Prestige Professional Cleaning, LLC which specializes in office and property cleaning and caters to the needs of property owners, property managers and business owners throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area. Dedicated to helping property owners and property-service professionals streamline their cleaning services, they offer a wide range of services, including move-in cleaning, workplace cleaning, and construction debris removal.
“We do a lot of detailed work. We do the cleaning that the other cleaning companies won’t do,” said Grant.
She went on to add that recently the pandemic has forced them to evolve and include new services. “I took training for COVID-19 sanitation, and it basically made me step my game up.”
In addition to COVID-19 sanitation, janitorial cleaning has also begun to be implemented. What at one point was only a dream, Grant is thrilled to be in business for herself.
“It means everything to me. It shows my strength that I am able to run a business, and I’m very passionate about the quality we deliver…to be able to service the community and provide employment, that means a lot to me.”
