The show did go on! ‘Corvettes Against the World’ brought the best of the best to Pittsburgh

Neither rain, nor snow, nor heat, nor gloom of night will stay these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds…wait, wait, wait…hold up, wait a minute! That’s the postal service slogan…my bad. But guess what? It still works here.

If you were at the Elite Corvettes of Pittsburgh “Corvettes Against the World” grand event over this past Memorial Day weekend, you would clearly know why. Well, let me put it to you this way — Noah and all the animals on that Arc never saw as much rain. I mean it rained and rained and rained some more. But alas, the show did go on.

And what a show it was. BTW and FYI, the Corvettes won! Coming from all over the East side of the map, from Baltimore, D.C., Harrisburg, United Rays of Pittsburgh, Maryland, Dayton, Detroit, Cleveland, Rochester, New York, Toledo, Columbus, and of course, Elite Corvettes of Pittsburgh.

In spite of the monsoon, all objectives of the fantastic voyage were met. The coming together of some of the baddest cars on the planet…America’s car…the corvette. “Unity in the Community” and a brotherhood and sisterhood that reached across state lines. Competition for the gold and best-in-show along with 50 other trophies. And most importantly, a coming-together of community and corporate showcasing the championship spirit that is Pittsburgh, Pa.
