Carrone Baptist Church presents a tribute to local breast cancer survivors

The New Pittsburgh Courier has learned that Carrone Baptist Church, 7119 Frankstown Ave., Homewood, is holding a tribute to various local breast cancer survivors with a special program titled, “Healed and Restored.”

The program will take place on Oct. 3 at 3 p.m. Carrone Baptist said the goal is to shed light on breast cancer, with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Inspirational encouragement, critical support and hope via testimonies and musical selections will be provided to those who are or have been impacted by breast cancer.

The keynote speaker will be Yolanda Murphy, a breast cancer survivor who will share her story. Murphy serves as an advocacy ambassador with the Susan G. Komen Center for Public Policy.
