SENIOR PROJECT

ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL

Port Authority is seeking a Senior

Project Engineer – Electrical to

be responsible for engineering and

project support for electrical related

aspects of Authority systems, facilities,

buildings, tunnels, subways, and

light rail transit system. Ensures

projects adhere to the scope, budget,

and schedule as well as interfaces

with consultants, contractors, and

external stakeholder representatives.

Provides engineering and technical

support in the maintenance and

operation of various electrical

systems including: SCADA, power

distribution, lighting, networking,

HVAC systems, escalators, elevators,

fire protection, safety and related

equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs all project management

functions necessary to implement

the design, construction and closeout

of funded capital projects within

established scope, schedule, budget

and quality metrics. Provides guidance

and assistance to Port Authority

personnel on electrical issues and

activities pertaining to all capital

projects. Provides support for state

of good repair programs related to

systems, facilities, buildings, tunnels,

subways, and light rail transit system.

  • Responsible to review drawings,

specifi cations, and contract provisions

for compliance with Authority and

outside agency requirements and

standards in the preparation of

construction and procurement

documents. Reviews and coordinates

drawings and specifications of electrical

systems to include SCADA, power

distribution, lighting, networking,

HVAC systems, escalators, elevators,

fire protection, safety, and related

equipment in consideration of the

impacts related to operational facilities,

systems and infrastructure.

Job requirements include:

  • BS Degree, Major in Electrical

Engineering, or related engineering

fi eld from an accredited school.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive

experience in managing projects,

including design and construction of

job-related work.

  • Professional and effective

communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license in any state or

commonwealth with ability to obtain

PA driver’s license within sixty (60)

days of employment.

  • Demonstrated ability in the use of

Windows.

Preferred attributes:

  • Experience in design and/or

construction of electrical equipment

in facilities and/or public infrastructure

and systems.

  • Registered Professional Engineer

in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

or the ability to obtain such registration

through reciprocity within one year

of appointment.

  • Demonstrated ability in the use of

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

and Outlook.

Management Group (AMG) MIS

activities. Specific duties include: (i)

solutions; (ii) propose, design and

code software solutions to address

complex business needs; oversee

required; (iii) lead complex problem

HTML5; (iv) CSS3; (v) Java Script,

TypeScript, Spring Boot, NodeJS; (vi)

designing and developing responsive

web applications; (vii) DevOps CI/

CD, Jenkins, Gradle, GIT, Artifactory;

(viii) working closely with product

owner(s) to recommend and implement

process improvements; and (ix)

interacting with Enterprise Architecture

and technology vendors and influencing

solution design adhering to industry

standard.
