Essential Functions:

  • Collects, sorts, prepares and

distributes mail and parcels, including

delivery of certified mail to employees

is received.

  • Drives mail vehicle to designated

location mail stops to delivery and

collect mail, miscellaneous supplies

and parcels.

  • Downloads money electronically to

the postage machine. Maintain log

of postage use.

  • Delivers paychecks to all garage

locations.

Job requirements include:

campaigns. Under general direction,

the Communications Specialist will

be responsible for helping to execute

the vision of the Public Relations

Officer.

Essential Functions:

  • Writes and edits various marketing

materials, including press releases,

newsletter stories, social media

posts, e-mail marketing campaigns,

website, brochures, and other materials

as needed.

  • Assists with researching, writing,

and capturing engaging content for

the Authority’s social platforms.

  • Supports online communications

such as Facebook posts and other

social media, e-newsletters, and

public relations activity

SECTION MANAGER

OF PLANNING

Port Authority is seeking a Section

Manager of Planning to oversee

planning priorities and activities

within the Planning and Service

Development Department. Advances

the priorities of the long-range plan

through corridor and place-based

planning projects, and policy and

program development. Assists the

Director of Planning and Service

Development with Departmental

tasks, presentations, and strategic

direction. Manages the Planning

staff team.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages the daily activities of

the Planning Section of the

Department. Establishes and aligns

departmental and individual goals

and objectives with corporate goals.

Evaluates performance and promotes

growth through mentoring and

development.

  • Works with Planning and Service

Development Management team to

ensure collaboration across teams

within the Department and looks for

opportunities for efficiency of work

efforts.

  • Directs and evaluates studies of

major transit corridor and place-based

(transit-oriented community)

investments, which include, but are

not limited to, analysis of alternatives,

environmental analysis and community

interface, and development of

public consensus for these investments.

Works with the Senior Director

to prioritize these projects based

on the Strategic and Long-Range

Plans and acquire grant funding to

support said projects.

Job requirements include:

  • BS Degree in Planning, Community

Development, Transportation, Public

Policy or directly related fi eld from

an accredited school. Directly

related experience may substitute

for education.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of

progressively responsible experience

in Planning. Experience may be

substituted by advanced education

on a year for year basis.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory

experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop/

interpret statistical/analytical studies,

and to describe this information

orally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated ability to draft work

plans and projects for internal staff

or consultants to carry out.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively

present planning project information

to Senior-level audiences such as

Senior Staff or the Authority’s Board.

  • Demonstrated ability in the use of

modern office software such as the

Microsoft Office package.

  • Understanding of the principles of

GIS and other transportation planning

Technology Services to coordinate

procurement and management of

technology services along with

associated invoicing and budgeting.

Work with internal customers to

write specification documents, manage

timelines for procurement processes

(Bids and RFPs), track deliveries

and process invoices. Work extensively

with both Finance and Procurement

personnel on managing budgets

and procurements. Coordinate

people and processes to ensure

that projects are delivered on time

and produce the desired results.

Provide organization, timeline &

deadline management, task coordination,

and progress reporting toward successful

and timely completion of

projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage purchasing processes for

information technology services and

equipment, including RFPs, RFQs,

Bids, work orders, and invoices;

ensuring adherence to all federal

and state procurement regulations

and Port Authority processes.

  • Lead tracking and timeline of information

technology bid and service renewals,

ensuring that bids and RFP’s are

prepared and released in a timely

manner.

  • Track budgets for technology lines

of business and provide recommendations

for future budget adjustments and

requests.

  • With stakeholders, establish

purchasing and project definition

including specifications, scope,

schedule, tasks, and costs.

Job requirements include:

  • BA/BS Degree in Business Administration,

Finance, Information Technology,

Computer Science, Data Analytics,

or directly related field from an

accredited school. Directly related

experience may substitute for education

  • Strong analytical and problem solving

skills.
