TRANSIT SECURITY OFFICER
Port Authority is seeking a Transit Security Officer to provide
assistance in the internal and external security of the Port Authority, its
facilities and its equipment, including assisting in special investigations.
Essential Functions:
- Monitors/verifies the identification of all persons entering Port Authority property, ensuring that such persons are employees of Port Authority, or are otherwise on Port Authority business.
- Performs checks for the presence of unauthorized persons on Port Authority property on foot and in company vehicle and handles such situations in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Monitors gasoline pumps and other Port Authority property on foot and in company vehicle in order to prevent tampering and vandalism.
Job requirements include:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability and willingness to work various shifts and weekends.
- Valid PA driver’s license.
- Effective and professional communication skills.
Preferred attributes:
- Act 120 certification.
- Act 235 certification.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience within security/police field.
