Rose Ellen Mocombe joins the Board of Functional Literacy Ministry of Haiti

The New Pittsburgh Courier has learned that Rose Ellen Mocombe has joined the Board of Functional Literacy Ministry of Haiti.

FLM-Haiti is a Pittsburgh-based organization that raises fund to support work in Haiti. The organization offers education, healthcare and hope. For over 38 years, FLM has offered reading classes, Kindergarten through high school education and has, in recent years, opened a trade school, a missions residence and a health clinic. As a Functional Literacy Ministry board member, Mocombe hopes to utilize her administrative skills to collaborate on current and upcoming fundraising projects that will benefit the people of Haiti.

Mocombe earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 from Colgate University, and her Master of Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001.
