MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST – GRANT FUNDED POSITION

The Mental Health Specialist will counsel individuals with various mental health and behavioral health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality/behavioral disorders, phobias, and those abusing alcohol and drugs. S/he will assess individuals’ needs and develop goal plans, which may involve counseling/therapy and/or referral to another specialized agency or service. Special populations include those community members in re-entry programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field
  • Five to seven years of experience in counseling individuals with various mental health or behavioral health conditions
  • Experience working with residents in low-income neighborhoods
  • Working knowledge of services/resources available in the community
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Experienced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certification (Preferred)
  • Excellent communications, project management and records management skills
  • Trained in trauma-informed care and mental health first aid
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • First aid and CPR certified
  • Current Act 33 and Act 34 clearances

ENTERPRISE PERFORMANCE MANAGER

The Strategy Division is launching a comprehensive continuous improvement program. The Enterprise Performance Manager will have the opportunity to shape this program and build a team to execute a transformation of the way Port Authority works and deliver services as an organization. The successful candidate will lead training and enterprise performance functions throughout the Port Authority at all levels, from front-line employees to executive leadership, based on Lean and similar process improvement methods. The Manager of Organizational Excellence will be expected to develop, implement, and manage complex programs that integrates multiple elements or programs to achieve organizational excellence.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, manage and facilitate key processes and tools for identifying, prioritizing, resource planning and executing initiatives and projects that support the Strategic Plan.
  • Participates in strategic planning efforts. Monitors data and identifies trends and patterns, analyzes best value propositions, and recommends enhanced or new solutions. Leads analytical efforts on special projects to improve operating efficiency from business and technical perspectives. Develops reports, feasibility studies, and briefings on specific issues.
  • Leads multidisciplinary teams of employees to synthesize, clarify, define and document business requirements and processes. Evaluates requirements and processes and recommends feasible solutions.

Job requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with major coursework in Business, Public Administration, or other related field plus five (5) years of increasingly responsible work experience in performance analytics, enterprise risk management and/or data management research in a government or private setting, three (3) years of which were in a managerial capacity.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT –

Port Authority is seeking a Accounting Assistant – Accounts Receivable Specialist to record business transactions to the general ledger, process cash receipts, and to audit and verify checks from the Accounts Payable section.

Essential Functions:

  • Utilize PeopleSoft general ledger system to perform the following:
  • Inputs journal entries.
  • Prints reports, as needed.
  • Assembles source documents for recording journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Reconciles several bank accounts, as assigned.
  • Prepares and updates worksheets to reconcile various accounts.
  • Utilize PeopleSoft accounts receivable and billing systems to perform the following:
  • Process and records cash receipts on PeopleSoft Accounts Receivable module on a daily basis.
  • Prepares, records, processes and mails miscellaneous invoices.
  • Enters all miscellaneous non-in­voice receipts.

Job requirements include:

  • High school diploma or GED, supplemented by twelve (12) credits in accounting from an accredited college or business school.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience within the past five (5) years.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel to accurately and efficiently enter and access data.
  • Professional and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to use a calculator.

Preferred attributes:

  • Familiarity with Port Authority’s account classification.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft Financials 8.9.
