Keeta Mobile Pet Spa is a family-owned and operated professional grooming service for your fur friends. After being in the corporate world for 15 years, co-owner, Monique Gillespie, knew it was time for something different and was inspired by her dog, who passed away.
“Our business is named for our Sharp Pei, Keeta, who passed away last April…she had some medical scares, and we found amazing support for her that kept her healthy and with us for a significant amount of time until we just decided to pay it forward,” said Gillespie.
Keeta Mobile Pet Spa services include full grooming, specialty shampoos, haircut, nail trim, and teeth brushing, among other options. They cater to all dogs but are known for their senior care.
“Our fur friends are a wide range, but a significant amount of them are senior pups and pups with special needs,” said Gillespie. “A traditional brick and mortar doesn’t work for them. Some may have anxiety or are reactive with other dogs, or a medical condition makes it uncomfortable to transport to a traditional brick and mortar.”
The mobile service is also perfect for large dogs who may be difficult to transport or pet parents that prefer having their dog groomed from the comfort of their own home.
As a family business, Gillespie prides herself on quality.
“We all have that same heart and mission to make sure that we’re giving the best care possible to all of the fur babies that we care for. There’s a comfort level there that you know who’s going out, and working has the same mission, has the same drive…that’s wonderful.”
Next for the Keeta Mobile Pet Spa, they will be present at the Bark and Brunch event at Hazelwood Green Plaza Saturday, April 30, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. In addition to the mobile pet spa, which will continue operation, look out for the Keeta Pet Salon, which is set to open this summer.
