RENOWNED KDKA-TV/KDKA Radio host Lynne Hayes Freeland, right, receives the President’s Award from the Press Club of Western Pa., at the organization’s annual Golden Quill Awards, May 24. Hayes-Freeland spent more than four decades at KDKA-TV, and also became the first Black woman to host a full-time weekday show on KDKA Radio, before her semi-retirement announcement last year.
