Brandi Mallory, who formerly starred on the TV show Extreme Weight Loss, has died, per TMZ. She was 40.

According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, Mallory died on Thursday (November 9) in Atlanta, Georgia. Her cause of death remains unclear.

Mallory appeared on season 4 of ABC’s weight loss show in 2014. During an interview, Mallory said she went on Extreme Weight Loss and was motivated to lose weight after one of her sorority sisters died at 29. Mallory believed she was at risk of an early death too at 329 pounds.

She initially went on a casting call for The Biggest Loser but was rejected. Mallory said producers helped her get cast on Extreme Weight Loss instead.

Rest in Peace, Brandi Mallory.
