“Michael” biopic rounds out cast with actors portraying the Jackson 5

The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, “Michael,” directed by Antoine Fuqua, has cast the actors to portray the iconic singer’s brothers and fellow Jackson 5 members.

Jayden Harville will play Jermaine Jackson as a young Jermaine and Jamal R. Henderson as the older version. Marlon Jackson will be portrayed by Jaylen Lyndon Hunter (younger) and Tre Horton (older). Judah Edwards takes on the role of the younger Tito Jackson, with Rhyan Hill playing him in his later years. Finally, Nathaniel Logan McIntyre embodies the younger Jackie Jackson, while Joseph David-Jones steps in as the older Jackie.

“The immense scale of this film demanded ten talented actors to bring the Jackson 5 to life throughout their journey,” said producer Graham King. “I’m excited to share this extraordinary ensemble with audiences worldwide.”

Jaafar Jackson, Jermaine’s son, will portray his uncle Michael in the film, while Juliano Krue Valdi takes on the role of the younger Michael. The new cast joins previously announced actors Nia Long, Colman Domingo, and Miles Teller. John Logan penned the script, with King, John Branca, and John McClain (co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate) serving as producers.

“Michael” promises a comprehensive and unfiltered portrayal of the complex and brilliant artist, the King of Pop. The film delves into his triumphs and tribulations, showcasing his human side, personal struggles, and undeniable artistic genius through his most celebrated performances. Audiences will gain unprecedented insight into one of music history’s most influential and groundbreaking figures.

The Lionsgate film is currently in production and is slated for release on April 18, 2025.
