MANAGER – FACILITIES SYSTEMS

Pittsburgh Regional Transit is seeking a Manager – Facilities Systems to manage the activities and employees within the Facilities Systems Department for the Port Authority of Allegheny County d/b/a Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) and the administrative activities, outside contracts, and capital project activities, related to building equipment, electrical systems, heating/ventilation and air conditioning systems, subway maintenance, the Monongahela Incline and support equipment. Investigates maintenance problems and initiates preventative and corrective actions. Oversees, develops, and administers standardized programs designed to comply with applicable organizational policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Directs and supervises the Assistant Managers of the Facilities Systems Department.
  • Manages all phases of facilities maintenance and repair which includes building equipment, electrical systems, transit stations, shelters, subway, HVAC systems, elevators/escalators and the Monongahela incline.
  • Manages all activities associated with the daily scheduling of preventive maintenance and repair activities at PRT locations, office buildings, and other PRT maintained areas.
  • Maintains all assigned facilities at a high status of readiness and supplies immediate repair support under any emergency conditions.

Job requirements include:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or electronic engineering, civil engineering or business administration or related field from an accredited college or university. Directly related experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in facilities with a basic understanding of plumbing, carpentry, mechanical systems, and electricity. No certifications or licenses required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows and Microsoft Word.
  • Valid PA driver’s license.
  • Professional and effective communication skills.
  • Customer focused, well organized, and results oriented.
  • A team player with a participative management style.

Preferred attributes:

  • Project Management experience.
  • Trade Certificate in a related field.
  • Supervisory experience in a union environment.

PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Pittsburgh Regional Transit is seeking a Partnership Development Coordinator to be responsible for developing and executing strategies to build relationships with businesses and entities within Port Authority d/b/a/ Pittsburgh Regional transit’s service area. This role entails actively listening to and responding to the needs and concerns of the business community, serving as the conduit between local businesses and PRT. Key responsibilities include identifying new partners, managing relevant pass programs, fostering relationships with the local business community, encouraging Transportation Demand Management, seeking and creating innovative funding partnerships, and representing PRT in the region. Qualifications include experience in partnership management, strong communication skills, and a commitment to PRT’s mission and values.

Essential Functions:

  • Represent the PRT in the region to build brand awareness and foster relationships with potential partners and attend relevant events to engage with stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between local businesses and PRT, fostering collaboration and communication to address the needs and concerns of the local business community.
  • Manage the partner pass programs including enrollment, contract renewal, and communication with current business partners to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Work closely with PRT Finance division to coordinate management of partner accounts.

Job requirements include:

  • BA/BS degree business or public administration from an accredited school. Related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in community, government, or business relations.

Essential Functions:

  • Responds over the phone to a large volume of customer calls providing accurate and courteous information regarding complaints, transit stops, schedules, fares, routings, policies, procedures, lost & found items and ConnectCard information.
  • Maintain complete updated files pertaining to detours, route changes, schedule changes, fares, transit stops and marketing campaigns in order to provide accurate responses to customer inquiries.
  • Utilize Schedule-Dispatch database and computer-based applications to access various transportation information.
  • Registers ConnectCard/s for new and existing customer account/s and processes customer requests for balance protection.

Job requirements include:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year customer service experience on the phone or in a call center environment handling large volume of customer calls.
