The New Pittsburgh Courier was there as the Legacy Arts Project held its 16th Annual Keepers of the Flame Awards and Fundraising Gala: Heart to Heart. It occurred at the Jay Verno Studios, on Jane Street, South Side, Dec. 7, 2024.
Erin Perry, executive director of the Legacy Arts Project, said that “this event is more than just a gathering—it’s a testament to our shared commitment to preserving our rich cultural heritage and empowering future generations. Your support plays a crucial role in bringing our vision to life. The African Black Tie Event not only honored those who have “illuminated our cultural path, but also aims to fundraise for the Legacy Arts Project’s ongoing programs that support creativity, unity, and education,” Perry said.
