As the Northside Institutional Church Of God In Christ celebrated Black History
Month, the applause was great as Evangelist Sharon Gans shared the story and longevity
of the New Pittsburgh Courier. Founded in 1910, the Courier has been a staple
in the Pittsburgh community for 115 years.
Courier freelance writer/photographer Jacquelyn McDonald accepted the prestigious
award on behalf of the Courier, Feb. 23. It was presented by Elder Albert and
Lady Sharon Gans.
