Hill Dance Academy Theatre celebrates the Historic Hill District
The historic Hill Dance Academy Theatre continued its 20th Anniversary Celebration with a tribute to the Hill District. Historically, the Hill District has nurtured the arts, driven innovation, and demanded change while being home to some of the world’s greatest minds and hearts.
Over the course of the three days (Aug. 1-3), HDAT held a dance party, an awards reception celebrating the unsung heroes of the Hill District, and a Historic Hill District Mini Film Festival. Over the past few months, HDAT has also held a “K-Pop” dance class for kids and teens, and adult dance classes in tap, ballet and heels. Its signature offering is The Academy, and the New Pittsburgh Courier has learned that the 2025-2026 Registration Season is open until Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025.
