Baptist Temple Church, 7241 Race St., in Homewood, held its health fair on Saturday, Sept. 6. The New Pittsburgh Courier was there as free COVID vaccinations were administered. Also, there were vaccinations for the flu, tetanus, shingles and pneumonia. The UPMC mobile unit was there, as was Pam Johnson-Powell from the COACH team. Pitt’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center was there to speak with attendees, and there was a Silver Sneakers demonstration.
