The Iota Phi Foundation, in partnership with the Iota Phi Chapter of Ome­ga Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., hosted their 29th Annual Achievement Dinner on Nov. 18, at the Rivers Casi­no Event Center. The pur­pose of the event is to cele­brate the accomplishments of African Americans in their respective fields and their exemplary service to the community. It is also a time to celebrate talent­ed local graduating high school seniors and support their aspirations by provid­ing them with scholarships. The students who received scholarships were: Evan Allen, Pittsburgh Science & Technology Academy; Zaire Dinkins, Mt. Lebanon High School; Nia Hart, Plum Se­nior High School; Malynn Jones, Pittsburgh Obama Academy of International Studies; Patrick Livsey, Cen­tral Catholic High School.

The Iota Phi Foundation is a brotherhood of educat­ed Black men who dedicate their passion, expertise, and resources to improve the quality of life for people in the greater Pittsburgh re­gion by empowering Black youth, families, and commu­nities. The Iota Phi Foun­dation’s vision is to use our rich tradition and intergen­erational network to create relationships and programs that transform communities throughout Western Penn­sylvania. The Iota Phi Foun­dation recently acquired Anderson Manor, which is a mansion and historical land­mark in one of Pittsburgh’s oldest African American communities, Manchester. Anderson Manor is where The Iota Phi Foundation hosts a wide range of pro­grams, services, and events throughout the year.
