Game Day Preview: Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers

A group of veterans pose for a picture as part of the NFL's tribute to service at Heinz Field before the start of an NFL football game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Buffalo Bills, Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, in Pittsburgh. (AP Photo/Don Wright) At 2-6 the Steelers find themselves just trying to find a way to win a game or two. They are playing a pretty poor Buffalo team that may provide the Steelers the game they’ve been looking for. At this point however, no team is an easy win for the black and gold. The thought of playoffs and even a .500 record need to go away. It’s all about getting this win and finding out who truly can play in the system and who shouldn’t be here in 2014. That sentiment goes for the coaches too.

Another visit to New England ends with another loss

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Jarvis Jones (95) and cornerback Ike Taylor (24) tackle New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount in the fourth quarter of an NFL football game Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, in Foxborough, Mass. The Patriots won 55-31. (AP Photo/Steven Senne) Another game at New England against Tom Brady ends in another loss, this time in embarrassing fashion. The team should certainly be ashamed of the display they put on as they allowed the most yards against them in the history of the franchise (610), they allowed 55 points and they were outscored 31-7 after tying the game in the 3rd quarter.

(AP Photo/Marcio Jose Sanchez) At 2-5; the Steelers are officially in crisis mode. Their reward? A trip to New England where they never win against Tom Brady and the Patriots. The season is rapidly slipping away and it’s on Mike Tomlin, Ben Roethlisberger and the rest of the coaches and veterans to not let this ship completely sink.
