Pastoral celebration

SEPT . 2—Creative Ministries Berachah, 1422 Evans Ave., McKeesport, will host a Celebration of Eight Years of Pastoral Ministry at 7 p.m. The guest speakers will be Rev. Dr. James Nelson, Pastor Lorraine Williams, Pastor Priscilla Dixon, Pastor Julius Lee Ralph and Rev. Derrick S. Johnson Sr. There will be singing, miming and liturgical dance. Release album party
SEPT. 2—Malloy Entertainment will host the “Lift Him Up” Album Release Concert at 7 p.m. at Mount Ararat Baptist Church, 271 Paulson Ave., East Liberty. John Gray will host the event. Fall revival

Gospel hour
SEPT. 4—Pittsburgh Gospel will host a Friday Lunchtime Gospel Hour from 12-1 p.m. at 937 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. Every Friday from now until September, some of the city’s most talented vocalists will sing praises. The event is free and all are welcome. Call 412-261-1692, ext. 1.

Annual day
SEPT. 5—Morningside COGIC, 5173 Dearborn St., Morningside, will host their annual Outdoor Community Day from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be activities for young and old, CPR training and food and other items for purchase. There will be a Pre-Pastoral Anniversary service Sept. 6, hosted by the Young Women’s Christian Council at 4 p.m. with guest Pastor Keith Moncrief and the Kingdom Light Ministries congregation. SEPT. 8—The Greater Harmony Chorus will host the “Real Women Sing” Guest Night at 6:45 at Richland Elementary School, 3811 Bakerstown Rd., Gibsonia. Bible school
SEPT. 10—The Bible School of Clark Memorial Baptist Church, 1301 Glenn St., Homestead, will host their Bible School at 7 p.m. The church will begin their 2009-2010 School Year of their Bible School. The four-year Bible course is designed to give students a working knowledge of the Word of God and to spiritually enrich the lives of those coming to study God’s Word. The cost is $40. Praise conference
